	Like I Promised

Author's Note: Kinda AU. Takes place in around UT 2k4, no map in particular (though relatively small), and it's in the Tournament Ladder. I wrote this within one hour...heh. I was bored :) Told from a woman's POV. Frag Limit: 2

I enter the arena
and saw what I saw.
Some weirdo guy
looking at me with awe!

I snipe him in the head
and taunt: "You be dead!"
I jump up and down
and do a sweet salute.
I just blew the head off
a guy who thinks he's cute.

He shield-gunned me, and I died.
"So gonna get his ass fried."
I pick up the Flak
since it's my best friend.
Just as long as I'm
at the right end.

Sneaking my way around,
I could've sworn he just drowned.
Because my HUD was telling me
he swam prematurely.

The score now stands
one to nil.
I'll end this soon
with one more kill.

Behind me was an evil snicker.
I turned to discover: he was quicker.
He was fooling before
'cos now he's gone.
Probably gonna hit me
with a rocket laun— respawn.

This sucks. I died to him more.
At least he hasn't called me a whore.
"Die, Bitch!"
Close enough.
Time for him to realize
His head is full of fluff.

I lunge at him with the Flak.
My turn to attack.
One shot was all it took
and through the air he flew.
Unfortunately for me,
it killed me, too.

Now I question:
Should I have won?
It's the last survivor,
So, I was the one.

We left the arena
and he cursed "You whore."
I would've gone back
to give him some more.

He wasn't the fighter
That made the cut.
So I took out a lighter
and burned his butt.

Like I promised.
